Accreditation
A.S.Chimneys are HETAS registered and members of the APICS sweeping organisation, for compliance reasons we are members of Constructionline and use Acclaim for our Health and Safety SSIP accreditation.
Importantly all our Sweeps and installers are NVQ qualified, since the Clean Air Act 2022 came into force, National occupational Standards for chimney sweeping, Stove installation and Chimney lining have been adopted, these are quickly being recognised by government and Local council authorities as the minimum standards required to be a qualified sweep or installer, NVQ is the ONLY qualification that ensures a sweep or installer can work to the National Standards, simply being a member of a Competent Person Scheme, such as HETAS or a sweeping organisation, while relevant, is no longer the recognised professional standard.
